Rhiannon is a Research Associate at I-SPHERE (Institute for Social Policy, Housing and Equalities Research), Heriot-Watt University.

Rhiannon contributes to a range of research projects, including the Homelessness Monitor series, the evaluation of the Fair Way Scotland partnership, Destitution in the UK, and research exploring discretionary forms of welfare as part of a wider project on Devolution and Social Security.

Rhiannon has an MSc in Applied Economics from the University of Strathclyde, and more than a decade of experience as a policy professional working on issues around poverty, social security, housing and employment.

Prior to joining I-SPHERE, Rhiannon’s roles included Senior Policy Officer at the homelessness charity Crisis, Policy Advisor at Oxfam’s UK Poverty Programme, and Policy Officer at Citizens Advice Scotland.
