Frailty and Homelessness
We were delighted to welcome Jo Dawes of University College London to present our March seminar on her research on frailty and homelessness.
In this seminar Jo Dawes covers the high prevalence of frailty and its presentation at a young age in this population. She discusses work exploring factors associated with frailty and qualitative work which sought to understand the lived experience of being frail and homeless concurrently.
Jo is an experienced physiotherapist, who spent many years working in an NHS Scotland health service for people experiencing homelessness, and is currently completing her NIHR funded Doctoral Research Fellowship within the Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care, UCL. https://profiles.ucl.ac.uk/77471-jo-dawes
