In April 2019 Dr Morag Treanor is joining the I-SPHERE team as Professor of Child and Family Inequalities.
This exciting leadership appointment greatly strengthens the I-SPHERE team and will help us to broaden the scope of our already high impact group.
Morag’s research interests focus on child poverty – measurement, causes, consequences, mitigation and prevention – and adversity in childhood. Alongside a passion for tackling poverty and disadvantage, Morag brings with her a deep a knowledge of the health and education sectors, significant skills and experience in the application of advanced quantitative methods in the analysis of social issues, and expertise in qualitative methods including qualitative longitudinal research.
We are also excited to be advertising a funded PHD position to work with Morag on research into the use of child maintenance in enhancing outcomes and wellbeing of lone parents and children. Find out more on the PHD opportunity here.
